Friendly reception with a personal touch - Jonathan called before our arrival to ensure we find the farm easily. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with complimentary coffee, tea, and a bowl of fresh fruit. The stunning views of the valley took our breath away. Great value for money, perfect for recharging and exploring the Winelands. A quiet and peaceful location, with friendly hosts who provided wood for a cozy fire. We loved seeing the animals on the farm and the kids had a blast. Superb wine and a beautiful view from our cottage. Mind-blowing!

The host, Jonathan, was incredibly helpful and even went out of his way to heat up our lasagne. The location of the cottage was also great, especially for us as we had a young daughter. Our friends stayed in a nearby cottage with their two young children, making it a perfect spot for a family getaway.
The cottage we stayed in was quite run-down and lacked proper insulation. The bedding was threadbare and there was a stench coming from under the sink.

the stay at franschhoek was amazing, but La Verdure exceeded expectations. the trout cottage was exceptional, peaceful, and relaxing. the location was ideal, close enough to walk to town, yet peaceful. the kitchen and bathroom were well equipped, and the dam was a flyfishing delight. the host, Jonathan, was so helpful, kind, and welcoming.
Need smaller glasses and a vegetable knife.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage nestled among the plum trees and roses. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, even heating up our lasagne for us. The location was perfect for our family with young children, with a big braii area and a nearby lake for swimming. We also had the opportunity to sample the farm's plum spirits, which was a delightful surprise. Thanks to Anne and Jonathan for their hospitality!
Would recommend this hotel.

I had an incredible time at this secluded location near Kruger and Blyde reserves. the natural surroundings were teeming with wildlife, with wild birds, monkeys, and bucks passing by every morning. the hospitality of Susan and her family was exceptional, and their breakfast spread was delicious. the apartment was spacious and peaceful, allowing me to relax and enjoy the stunning sunsets behind the mountains from the verandah. Being close to Franschhoek was also a major highlight of my stay. Cons: Can't fault anything about it! 😊.

I had a wonderful stay at a charming farm nestled in the beautiful Franschhoek valley. The accommodation was simple yet comfortable, and the view from the stoop was absolutely breathtaking. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. I especially loved the peaceful surroundings, surrounded by trees, vineyards, and mountains. It was a perfect place to relax with my friends and enjoy some quality time together. The roofed terrace with the barbecue equipment was a great addition, allowing us to have a delightful outdoor dinner. The location was also convenient, as it was just a short drive into the town and there was a magnificent dam nearby where we could go swimming. I would highly recommend this farm for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
